Identidad a través del archivo y la memoria

Abstract

Este proyecto de investigación se centra en ver y estudiar las relaciones entre identidad y memoria, haciendo uso del archivo para esto. La idea principal para la realización de este trabajo viene dada por la situación social y cultural que se desarrolla en este siglo XXI con una saturación de todo tipo de información, incluyendo al archivo. Este, en los últimos años ha resultado ser un punto focal en el interés de muchas personas jóvenes, quienes al vivir en una época llena de incertidumbres y diferentes crisis, retoman la mirada al pasado, esperando encontrar un sentimiento de estabilidad basad en una mirada distorsionada por la influencia del archivo no fiable como puede ser la fotografía. Así, esta investigación se basa en los trabajos y teorías de Almudena Hernando acerca de la construcción de la identidad y en los escritos sobre el archivo de Ana María Guasch.Se na creado una serie fotográfica que pretenden investigar las funciones y efectos de un archivo que altera las sensaciones generadas acerca de la memoria y la identidad.

In this investigative project we focus on studying the relationships between identity and memory, all through making use of the archive, the objective is to make this work comes from the social and cultural situation that is happening in this XXI century because of the existence of an all type of information saturation, which includes the archive, and furthermore, in the last few years it has turned out to be a focus point for younger generations, who because of living through uncertain and financially unstable times take a look to the past, where they find a feeling of stability and safety all because of a distorted look influenced by the nature of the photographic archive, which is not so reliable. It is because of this that based on the writings of Almudena Hernando and her concepts on identity construction plus the the essays about the archive of Ana Maria Guasch, a series of photographs is make to investigate the functions and effects of an altered archive to generate feelings and sensations in the memory and identity.
