Desarrollo del turismo sanmartiniano. Valoración turística de recursos y atractivos culturales

Abstract

Esta investigación tiene como objetivo conocer el nivel de desarrollo de los recursos y atractivos turísticos vinculados con el General San Martín en la provincia argentina de Mendoza. A tales efectos, se observó una valoración de recursos turísticos mediante variables de conservación y tamaño, y una valoración de atractivos turísticos a través del análisis de disponibilidad de instrumentos de conversión. También se consideró la opinión de los visitantes, se clasificaron los recursos según necesidades de desarrollo y/o promoción, y según instrumentos de conversión requeridos. Se obtuvieron calificaciones polarizados sobre la valoración de los recursos turísticos sanmartinianos: una mitad con alto puntaje y con bajo la otra. Sobre el nivel de desarrollo, resultó que la mitad de los recursos están desarrollados, un tercio semidesarrollados y una quinta parte subdesarrollados. Además, se observó que coinciden dilatadamente los recursos más valiosos con los acondicionados por el Estado y con los apreciados por los visitantes.

The aim of this research is to ascertain the level of development of tourist resources and attrac‐ tions in General San Martín in the Argentinian province of Mendoza. To this end, an assessment of tourist resources using the variables of conservation and size was carried out together with an evaluation of the possibility of attractions being easily converted for tourism. Visitors’ opinions were also considered. The resources were then classified according to their development and/or promotion needs, and the degree of conversion required. Polarised qualifications were obtained on the assessment of these tourist resources: one half with a high score and the other low‐scoring. Regarding the level of development, it turned out that half of the resources were already developed, a third semi‐developed and a fifth underdeveloped. In addition, it was observed that the most valuable resources coincided with those set up by the State and with those most appreciated by visitors.
