¿Es importante la educación emocional? La visión de docentes y de familias

Abstract

El objetivo de este estudio es investigar la posible diferencia entre docentes (en activo o en formación) y las familias del alumnado, en cuanto a la importancia que le dan a la educación emocional. La muestra de la investigación la componen 59 participantes, entre padres/madres y docentes con o sin experiencia profesional. Los resultados apuntan hacia que es el grupo de docentes, como se esperaba, el que da mayor importancia a este tipo de formación. Se concluye que es una formación imprescindible en la educación infantil y que debería tener más presencia en los currículos, además de trabajar con las familias para darle importancia y estrategias o técnicas sobre la educación emocional.

The objective of this study is to investigate the possible difference between teachers (active or in training) and the families of the students, in terms of the importance they give to emotional education. The research sample is made up of 59 participants, including parents and teachers with or without professional experience. The results indicate that it is the group of teachers, as expected, that give greater importance to this type of training. It is concluded that it is an essential training in early childhood education and that it should have more presence in the curriculum, in addition to working with families to give importance and strategies or techniques on emotional education.
