The main objetive of this project is the adaptation and design of a two-speed gearbox, based on a real five-speed transmission. The one of the Suzuki GN 250. This design will serve as a prototype to the future version of the motorbike, that will be made in Moto Studets Project. The aim of this work is to generate a design based on the original gearbox but using only two of its gears. For that the idea is to use the maximum number of the original parts and to calculate the most important elements for the new working conditions. Now the gearbox will be used with an electric motor with a significantly higher power than the original 250cc engine. For the developed design of the gearbox, original gears for second and fourth gear it will be used. Also the original axles, but with modified dimensions, and the forks, which are the pieces that move the gears to allow the exchange of gears. Finally, the housing structure and the selector roller will have to be remanufactured.en
