La agricultura periurbana de la Vega Lagunera

Abstract

Este trabajo trata de abordar los cambios que han tenido lugar con el paso de los años en la Vega Lagunera, en el municipio de San Cristóbal de La Laguna, donde se ha pasado de un territorio mayoritariamente agrícola a otro en el que el proceso de urbanización lleva ganándole terreno desde hace más de 50 años. De dicha combinación de procesos nace la agricultura periurbana en este enclave del municipio, del cual se llevará a cabo un estudio para conocer sus características principales y su incidencia, consecuencia del crecimiento poblacional y de las nuevas infraestructuras públicas, fundamentalmente. Dicho estudio partirá de un enfoque teórico sobre la mencionada agricultura y se complementará con una base empírica y cuantitativa, gracias a las cuales conoceremos las principales transformaciones que se han producido en esta área, y qué causas han provocado la aparición de la agricultura periurbana.

This investigative work tries itself to centre on the deep changes that progressively have taken place in the Vega Lagunera, in the municipality of San Cristobal de La Laguna, in wich it has passed of an area for the most part agricultural to other one in wich the process of urbanization starts gaining area him notably. Of the mentioned combination of processes, the so called agriculture is born peri-urban in this enclave of municipality, of wich a study will be carried out to know his principal characteristics and his incident according to a few certain factors. For the mentioned study, there will be carried out a theoretical approach and quantitative other one, thanks to wich we will now that transformations are those that have been carried out in this zone, and why it has urban periphery agriculture.
