Origen y evolución del feminismo en Egipto

Abstract

En las sucesivas páginas que contiene este trabajo, se intenta dar a conocer las principales situaciones sociopolíticas de Egipto en la época contemporánea que tanto influyeronpara que surgiera el movimiento feminista. Posteriormente, se desarrollan los proyectos más importantes que fueron formulando las feministas en Egipto, desde sus comienzos a finales del siglo XIX hasta finales del XX; y cómo fueron logrando poco a poco algunas de sus reivindicaciones.Por último, se pretende resaltar la gran valentía e importancia que estas mujeres tuvieron para el mundo árabe en general y de Egipto en particular, personalizando los nombres de las más destacadas e intentando de esta forma rendirles un sincero homenaje.

The following pages in this work try to introduce Egypt´s major socio-political situations in contemporary times which influenced the rise of the feminist movement. Subsequently, it develops how the most important projects of feminists were established in Egypt between the late nineteenth century and the twentieth, and how they were gradually achieving some of their demands. Finally, it aims to highlight the great courage and importance that these women had into the Arab´s world, mostly in Egypt, customizing the names of the most prominent women and trying to pay them a sincere tribute.
