This article is a contrastive study of the representation of knowledge
in the lexical field of the adjectives of “Moving/Moverse”. The
theoretical frame that has been applied is the Functional Lexematic
Model. The definitions of the lexical entries have been done avoiding
circularity and according to onomasiological principles based on structural
semantics and on the theory of prototypes. The knowledge representation
resultant from the application of the FLM has been interpreted
in terms of the Image Schemata Theory.
