Proyecto cinematográfico Dreamland Studios Fuerteventura.

Abstract

El turismo cinematográfico ha cobrado gran importancia en la última década, especialmente en las Islas Canarias, donde se ha visto una oportunidad para la atracción del interés turístico. Sin embargo, la opinión de las personas residentes no suele tenerse en cuenta la instalación de grandes infraestructuras. En este trabajo se analiza la opinión de las personas residentes en Fuerteventura ante la instalación del proyecto Dreamland. Para ello, se envió un cuestionario de 20 preguntas del que se obtuvieron 100 respuestas. Los resultados muestran que los residentes majoreros creen que el proyecto iba a ocasionar un impacto negativo de infraestructuras, aun así consideran que el proyecto va a proporcionar un avance en la isla y beneficios en el empleo local. Los datos obtenidos pueden ser útiles para futuros proyectos que ocasionen un gran volumen de infraestructuras y lo que supondría para atraer turistas en busca de ocio, cultura local y turismo sostenible.

Film tourism has become very important in the last decade, especially in the Canary Islands, where it has been seen as an opportunity for attracting tourist interest. However, the opinion of residents is not usually taken into account in the installation of large infrastructures. This paper analyses the opinion of the residents of Fuerteventura regarding the installation of the Dreamland project. For this purpose, a questionnaire of 20 questions was sent out, from which 100 answers were obtained. The results show that Fuerteventura residents believe that the project would have a negative impact on infrastructures, even though they consider that the project will provide progress for the island and benefits for local employment. The data obtained may be useful for future projects involving a large amount of infrastructure and what it would mean for attracting tourists in search of leisure, local culture and sustainable tourism.
