Comunicación Familiar y Sexualidad en la Infancia: qué sentimientos se experimentan y cómo influye el contexto de desarrollo.

Abstract

La sexualidad es un aspecto fundamental influye en los sentimientos que tempranas. Por ello, este estudio retrospectivo tiene como objetivo Comunicación Familiar (materna y paterna) en los sentimientos que suscitan dichas experiencias. En este estudio han participado 356 personas de entre los 14 y 25 años. Los resultados indican que la comunicación con la madre es un factor protector ante determinados aspectos del contexto familiar en dichas edades, como la exposición a contenido sexual inapropiado, ser víctima de abusos sexuales, y testigo de violencia familiar. Cabe destacar que estos, añadiendo la presencia de fotos de personas desnudas en sus hogares, son los que parecen estar relacionadas con la participación en situaciones sexuales entre los 5 y 8 años.

Sexuality is a fundamental aspect of human’s development, and the family context influences the feelings that children experience in early sexual experiences. Therefore, this retrospective study aims to study the influence of family communication (mother and father) on the feelings aroused by these experiences. This study involved a total of 356 participants aged between 14 and 25 years who analyzed their experiences when they were between 5 and 8 years old. The results indicate that communication with the mother is a protective factor against certain aspects of the family context at these ages, such as exposure to inappropriate sexual content, being a victim of sexual abuse, and witnessing family violence. It is worth noting that these, together with the presence of pictures of naked people in their homes, seem to be related to participation in sexual situations between 5 and 8 years of age.
