Análisis de la micromovilidad compartida en zonas turísticas de Canarias con un experimento de elección

Abstract

Dada la importancia del turismo en Canarias y la necesidad de conseguir un turismo más sostenible, resulta de gran interés actuar sobre los patrones de movilidad de los turistas en los diferentes destinos. El objetivo principal de esta investigación es analizar las preferencias de los turistas por el uso de modos de transporte sostenible, que implique la utilización compartida de vehículos de movilidad individual (la micromovilidad). Asimismo, hemos analizado medidas de transporte sostenible en los municipios más visitados de Canarias que son San Bartolomé de Tirajana y Adeje. Se realiza una revisión de buenas prácticas, relativas a la movilidad en otros lugares turísticos, y también una revisión de la bibliografía científica relacionada con análisis de las preferencias por diferentes modos de transporte en diversos contextos. Dada la imposibilidad de encuestar a una muestra de turistas, se ha optado por hacer la encuesta piloto a un grupo de residentes y plantearles cómo es su comportamiento como turistas cuando viajan. Además, para analizar las preferencias de los turistas en los dos municipios de Canarias seleccionados, en este trabajo se diseña un experimento (de preferencias declaradas) de elección discreta que permitirá conocer cuáles son los atributos de los modos de transporte que más valoran los turistas cuando eligen los modos de transporte en sus destinos, y que podrá ser utilizada en una encuesta posterior.

Given the importance of tourism in the Canary Islands and the necessity to achieve a more sustainable tourism, it is of great interest to act according to tourists’ mobility patterns at their different destinies. The aim of this investigation is to analyze tourists’ preferences in the use of sustainable means of transport that imply the shared use of individual vehicles (the micromobility). Moreover, we have analyzed these means of transport in the most visited local regions of the Canary Islands, which are San Bartolomé de Tirajana and Adeje. A revision on good practices, relative to mobility in other touristic places was made. As well as a review of the scientific bibliography on the subject of analysis regarding the preferences of different means of transport in various contexts. Given the inability to survey a group of tourists, it has been decided to conduct a pilot survey to residents about their behaviour as tourists when they travel. Furthermore, to analyze tourists’ preferences in these Canary Islands’ municipalities, this project designs an experiment (of declared preferences) of discrete choice that will allow to know which are the attributes of the means of transport tourists value the most when having to choose one at their destination which can be usable in a later survey.
