Análisis en relación a la resiliencia del turismo de las Islas Canarias y posibles medidas a aplicar para un turismo más sostenible

Abstract

El turismo en las Islas Canarias ha sido un motor fundamental para el sustento económico y social tanto del país como de la misma región. Por ello, ha demostrado su fuerte resiliencia tras la pandemia mundial y las varias consecuencias que esta trajo consigo, sumándole el conflicto bélico entre Ucrania y Rusia y los impactos que todo ello está provocando tanto a nivel social como económico. Las Islas Canarias se han visto obligadas a estudiar esas amenazas para convertirlas en oportunidades. De esta manera, se podrán implantar posibles nuevos modelos de negocio y estudiar las nuevas preferencias del turista actual, creando una actitud resiliente ante la situación. En este caso, el foco principal a estudiar será la evolución del sector turístico y cómo este se prepara para responder infinitas preguntas que surgen al respecto ¿Qué valor se le dará a un turismo más sostenible? ¿Se buscará atraer otro tipo de perfil turístico? ¿Se valorará apostar por un turismo tecnológico? ¿Se implantarán las tecnologías para crear mayor seguridad? Sin duda alguna, la respuesta será apostar por un turismo más innovador que constantemente trate de establecer líneas de acción en concordancia con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible y las corrientes turísticas previstas.

Will technologies be implemented to create greater security? Undoubtedly, the key is to opt for more innovative tourism.
