dc.description.abstract | Mycorrhizae are symbiotic associations that occur between a fungus and a plant. This relationship has the purpose of promoting the development of plants and, at the same time, preserving their health in the face of adverse situations. After a series of investigations, it has been observed that not only are there benefits for the ecosystems, but also numerous advantages for man, at an industrial level. These associations are interdependent and are universally found in countless environments, occupying a privileged place. This work will deal with the development of inoculums for their subsequent inoculation, which has allowed the intensive exploitation of numerous crop fields, this mode of agriculture being more sustainable, economic and environmentally friendly than the conventional systems that have been used over the last few years on the market. In addition, different areas of notable importance with respect to this type of mutualistic symbiosis and what it contributes to the environment will be presented. Mention will also be made of those carried out in the Canary Islands. The profitability of this association on medicinal plants of great pharmacological interest will also be explained. | en |
