La población migrante latinoamericana constituye una parte grande de la sociedad
española. Aún así, hoy en día sufren diferentes dificultades al ejercicio satisfactorio de
algunos derechos como lo es el acceso a la salud.
Esta investigación, perteneciente al Trabajo de Fin de Grado, tiene como objetivo
conocer la situación de la población migrante latinoamericana con respecto a si se cumple
o no su derecho a la salud en España, concretamente en Canarias. Por ello, se ha
encuestado una muestra de 17 personas, tanto migrantes del continente americano como
a profesionales sanitarios.
Los resultados muestran las dificultades que ha tenido la población migrante para
poder acceder al sistema de salud español, llegando a recibir, en algún caso, tratos
deshumanizados y xenófobos por parte de los profesionales sanitarios, dejando entrever
la poca formación que han tenido, estos técnicos y técnicas, con respecto a esta tema. The Latin American migrant population constitutes a large part of Spanish society.

such as access to health.
This research, belonging to the Final Degree Project, aims to know the situation
of the Latin American migrant population with respect to whether or not their right to
health is fulfilled in Spain, specifically in the Canary Islands. For this reason, a sample of
17 people, migrants from the American continent and health professionals, has been
surveyed.
The results show the difficulties that the migrant population have had to access
the Spanish health system, coming to receive dehumanized and racist treatment by health
professionals, revealing the little training they have had regarding this issue.
