Variaciones ortográficas en el español de Cuba

Abstract

Parte del fondo léxico del macrosistema del habla cubana se encuentra aún sometido a varia- ción ortográfica. Concurren en ello diversas razones históricas, etimológicas, morfológicas, fonológicas, o incluso connotativo-afectivas, que pueden llegar a condicionar la elección de una grafía u otra. Intentaremos presentar a continuación un mapa de la situación actual de la variación ortográfica del español de la isla teniendo en cuenta las mencionadas razones. El trabajo se inscribe en un proyecto de lexicografía variacional de autoría propia que intenta recoger distintos elementos que conforman el diasistema cubano.

Part of the lexical stock of the Cuban macrosystem of speech is still subject to spelling variation. This is because of various historical, etymological, morphological, phonological, or even connotative-affective reasons, which may condition the choice of the graphical output. A map of the current situation of orthographic variation in Cuban Spanish will be presented, taking into consideration the above-mentioned reasons. This work is part of a variational lexicography project of personal authorship that attempts to gather different elements that make up the Cuban diasystem.
