Proyecto de investigación sobre el nivel de conocimiento en primeros auxilios de los futuros docentes de educación infantil

Abstract

Los accidentes infantiles son considerados la principal causa de muerte en niños/as entre 1 y 14 años, las cuales se podrían impedir si la población tuviera formación en primeros auxilios. Destacar que durante la infancia los menores pasan mucho tiempo en las escuelas, por lo tanto se debería empezar formando a los docentes que comparten este espacio con los/as niños/as, así como a los futuros profesionales del ámbito educativo. Este trabajo de fin de grado tiene como objetivo conocer el nivel en primeros auxilios que tienen los futuros docentes de Educación Infantil. Para ello se ha realizado un cuestionario de 25 preguntas relacionadas con situaciones en las que el docente debe auxiliar a uno de sus alumnos/as, destacar que estas preguntas han sido divididas en 5 dimensiones. El cuestionario ha sido enviado al alumnado de 3º y 4º del grado de Educación Infantil de la Universidad de la Laguna, obteniendo un total de 76 participantes. Los datos recogidos en la muestra nos indican que el nivel en primeros auxilios de los futuros docentes de Educación Infantil es medio o bajo, por lo tanto, sería fundamental que se realizarán más formaciones acerca de la salud en la infancia durante el periodo universitario.

Childhood accidents are considered the main cause of death in children between 1 and 14 years old, which could be prevented if the population had training in first aid. It should be noted that during childhood children spend a lot of time at school, therefore we should begin to train teachers who share this space with children, as well as future professionals in the educational field. This final degree project aims to know the level of first aid that future Early Childhood Education teachers have. For this purpose, a questionnaire of 25 questions has been carried out related to situations in which the teacher must help one of his/her students. It should be noted that these questions have been divided into 5 dimensions. The questionnaire has been sent to the 3rd and 4th year students of the Early Childhood Education degree at the University of La Laguna, obtaining a total of 76 participants. The data collected in the sample indicates that the level in first aid of future Early Childhood Education teachers is medium or low, therefore, it would be essential that more training on childhood health be carried out during the university period.
