El sector agroalimentario y la Agenda 2030 en Canarias

Abstract

El trabajo analiza la implementación de la Agenda 2030 en el sector agroalimentario de Canarias, con el objetivo de detectar y evaluar los alcances y limitaciones de esta implementación. Se utiliza una metodología descriptiva basada en la recopilación y análisis cualitativo de la información disponible. Se identifican desafíos como la adaptación a nuevas regulaciones y la necesidad de una mayor sostenibilidad. Se destaca también la importancia de involucrar a todos los actores de la cadena alimentaria en la transición hacia prácticas más sostenibles. Las conclusiones resaltan la necesidad de un cambio sistémico para garantizar una implementación eficiente, con un enfoque colaborativo para lograr así un desarrollo sostenible en las Islas Canarias.

This paper examines the implementation of the 2030 Agenda in the agri-food sector in the Canary Islands, with the aim of detecting and assessing the achievements and limitations of this implementation. A descriptive methodology based on the collection and qualitative analysis of the available information is used. Challenges such as adaptation to new regulations and the need for greater sustainability are identified. The importance of involving all actors in the food chain in the transition towards more sustainable practices is also highlighted. The conclusions emphasise the need of a systemic change to guarantee an efficient implementation, with a collaborative approach in order to achieve sustainable development in the Canary Islands.
