Ojo d loca: la isla es un cuerpo

Abstract

OJO D LOCA es un proyecto amplio que busca crear un espacio de convergencia literaria, artística y visual en Canarias, con la intención de construir sinergias y conexiones, a través de publicaciones, exposiciones y otros medios divulgativos, entre artistas de nuevas generaciones en nuestro Archipiélago. Por otro lado, en esta memoria se presenta el ejemplo de una primera publicación dentro del sello OJO D LOCA. Este primer libro, o proyecto editorial experimental, utiliza el diseño como herramienta creativa, y busca entender y derribar los cánones representacionales desfasados sobre los que se suele representar la cultura de Canarias. El título de este número es La isla es un cuerpo, y se respalda por una investigación sólida tanto teórica como visualmente. Se invita al lector a interactuar con el propio libro como herramienta. Además, este ejemplar abre el camino hacia posibles y futuras publicaciones similares.

OJO D LOCA is a broad project that seeks to create a space of literary, artistic and visual convergence in the Canary Islands, with the intention of building synergies and connections, through publications, exhibitions and other means of dissemination, between artists of new generations in our islands. On the other hand, this report presents the example of a first publication within the OJO D LOCA project. This first book, or experimental publishing project, uses design as a creative tool, and seeks to understand and overturn the outdated representational canons on which the culture of the Canary Islands is usually represented. The title of this first book is ‘La isla es un cuerpo (The island is a body)’, and is backed by solid research both theoretically and visually. The reader is invited to interact with the book itself as a tool. Furthermore, this first book or creation open the way for possible and future similar publications.
