El audiovisual como patrimonio: evolución histórica y situación actual del patrimonio cinematográfico y audiovisual español

Abstract

La evolución histórica del patrimonio cinematográfico y audiovisual español, desde la creación de Filmoteca Española (antes Nacional) en 1953, se ha visto condicionado por la constante transformación de la industria audiovisual y las sucesivas normativas legislativas

desde que en 1985 la Ley de Patrimonio Histórico lo incorporó por primera vez en Espa- ña. Sucesivos intentos de actualizar y desarrollar esta normativa se han visto truncados

por motivos diversos, entre ellos la falta de acuerdo entre la Administración central y las autonómicas; lo que se intenta solucionar con una nueva ley de cine que incorpore todo el patrimonio audiovisual al corpus de obras a proteger. Sí existe unanimidad en qué se debe considerar como integrante de este patrimonio, que se ha visto incrementado en los últimos años con las nuevas tecnologías y el desarrollo digital.
