Improvement of Solar Cell efficiency by Erbium doping methods

2008Resumen
In this paper, two low cost erbium doping processes introduced by thermal diffusion on porous silicon stain etched are
assessed. Surface evaluation was carried out by means of nitrogen BET (Brunauer, Emmet and Teller) and Scanning Electron
microscopy and chemical composition was studied by means of Energy-Dispersive X-Ray spectroscopy. The
photoluminescence of the samples was evaluated at the UV-VIS transitions. In order to enhance the efficiency of solar cells,
the incorporation of such processes into production lines could be feasible.
