Análisis crítico y ético de la película Alguien voló sobre el nido del cuco (1975)

Abstract

El propósito de este presente escrito es llevar a cabo un análisis crítico y ético de la película Alguien voló sobre el nido del cuco a partir de una revisión de la literatura existente analizando la estigmatización de las enfermedades mentales y la evolución histórica de los tratamientos psiquiátrico incluyendo prácticas controvertidas como la terapia electroconvulsiva y la lo- botomía. Se examina cómo estas prácticas se reflejan en la película, destacando la violación de principios bioéticos y del Código Deontológico de Enfermería.

The purpose of this paper is to carry out a critical and ethical analysis of the film “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” based on a review of the existing literature analyzing the stigmatization of mental illnesses and the historical evolution of psychiatric treatments, including controversial practices such as electroconvulsive therapy and lobotomy. It exam- ines how these practices are reflected in the film, highlighting the violation of bioethical principles and the Nursing Code of Ethics.
