Les tiens, les miens et les nôtres : la paternité des œuvres de J.-H. Rosny

Abstract

Les frères J.-H. Rosny ont entamé en 1887 leur production littéraire en collaboration cherchant se faire un nom dans le monde littéraire français de la fin du XIXe siècle. En 1935, presque trente ans après la rupture de leur association fraternelle, ils ont signé une convention en vue d’indiquer la paternité individuelle de plusieurs de leurs oeuvres publiées ensemble. L’objectif de notre étude est de vérifier si cette répartition a été respectée dans les éditions postérieures de ces oeuvres en France comme en Espagne, ainsi que de comparer le travail réalisé par chaque frère pendant leur période de collaboration. Pour ce faire, nous avons consulté les catalogues des bibliothèques nationales de ces deux pays.

Los hermanos J.-H. Rosny comenzaron su producción literaria en colaboración en 1887 con la intención de hacerse un nombre en el mundo de las letras francesas de finales del siglo XIX. En 1935, casi treinta años después de la ruptura de su asociación fraternal, firmaron un acuerdo mediante el cual reconocieron la autoría individual de algunas de sus obras publi-cadas conjuntamente. El objetivo de nuestro estudio es comprobar si dicho reparto se ha res-petado en las ediciones posteriores de esas obras en Francia y España, así como comparar de forma cuantitativa el trabajo realizado por cada hermano durante el periodo de colaboración, para lo que se han consultado los catálogos de las bibliotecas nacionales de ambos países

J.-H. Rosny brothers started their literary production in 1887, seeking recognition in the French literary world at the end of XIX century. In 1935, almost thirty years after their separation, they signed an agreement to assign individual authorship to some of their coau-thored works. Our study aims to verify if that distribution has been observed in later editions of those works in France and Spain, and to compare the personal work of the brothers during their collaboration. For this purpose, we have consulted the catalogues of the national libraries of both countries.
