La cuaderna vía castellana del siglo XIII y los límites de la enunciación: fronteras de una poética sustancialista

Abstract

Este trabajo indaga en cómo se articula la enunciación de la cuaderna vía castellana del siglo xiii. Pensamos que ésta no debe ser explicada por la acción de un supuesto sujeto enunciador autónomo, a la manera del apriorismo kantiano del siglo xviii, puesto que se configura a partir de un serie de categorías que conviene analizar a la luz del sustancialismo aristotélico. En ese sentido, hablamos de una poética sustancialista, para la cual expondremos los conceptos de tiempo sustancial y espacio sustancial. Finalmente, partiendo de los postulados de dicha poética, abordaremos la oposición entre «juglaría» y «clerecía» de la cuaderna segunda del Libro de Alexandre.

This paper investigates how the Castilian cuaderna vía is articulated from the thirteenth century onwards. We think that such enunciation cannot be explained by the action of a supposed autonomous self-speaking subject, in the manner of an eighteenth-century Kantian apriorism, given the fact that it is formed from a series of categories that should be analyzed in the light of Aristotelian substantialism. In this sense we speak of a substantialist Poetics, and to this end we set forth the concepts of substantial time and substantial space. Finally, taking into account the principles of such Poetics, we shall deal with the opposition between juglaría and clerecía in the Libro de Alexandre’s second stanza.
