«El Monje». El horror de lo inmoral

Abstract

Dominik Moll dirigió en 2011 una nueva adaptación del hito de la literatura gótica El monje. Se trata de una aproximación interesante, más por la forma en la que cuenta la historia que por la historia en sí misma. Mathew Lewis no escribió una obra fácil de adaptar al medio cinematográfico, pero Moll ha sabido extraer de su argumento la atmósfera sobrenatural y oscura del más puro estilo gótico.

Dominik Moll directed in 2011 «The Monk», a new version of The Monk, a masterpiece of the Gothic literature. This is an interesting film, tell the story, but the story by itself. Mathew Lewis didn’t write a novel easy to be filmed, but Moll knew how the extract the supernatural and dark atmosphere, proper of the pure gothic style of the story.
