Análisis metodológico de la batería beta: batería para la evaluación de trastornos afásicos

Abstract

La afasia es una alteración en la cual pueden afectarse de manera selectiva los diferentes niveles de descripción lingüística, tanto en la expresión como en la comprensión. La batería BETA evalúa los trastornos afásicos basándose en el modelo de Patterson y Shewell de 1987, que explica cómo el lenguaje procesa las palabras en sus modalidades oral y escrita. El objetivo principal que se persigue con este trabajo es el análisis metodológico de los ítems de las tareas que componen los bloques 4, 5 y las tres tareas iniciales del bloque 6 de la batería BETA. Con este análisis se quiere conocer el índice de dificultad, homogeneidad y fiabilidad. El análisis de los datos muestra, por un lado, el índice de dificultad más alto lo presenta la tarea de dictado de pseudopalabras. Por otro lado, no se puede afirmar que el número de procesos cognitivos y el nivel de procesamiento lingüístico influyen en el grado de dificultad de la tarea. Por último, los resultados obtenidos sobre el grado de fiabilidad de este estudio muestran que hay una alta consistencia interna del test.

The aphasia is an alteration which could affect selective forms of the different levels of linguistic description, in the expression such as the compression. The test of beta evaluates the aphasia´s disorders based in the model of Patterson and Shewell from to 1987, that explains how the language process the words in their written and oral modalities. The main objective that we want to know with this work is the methodologic analysis of the items of the tasks that form the block 4, 5 and the three initials tasks of block 6 of the beta test. With this analysis we want to know the difficulty rate off homogeneity and reliability. The analysis of the data shows, on one hand, the highest difficulty rate represent it the task of pseudoword’s dictation. On the other hand, it can´t be affirmed that the number of cognitive processes and the level of linguistic prosecution affect in the degree of difficulty of the task. At last, the answers that we get about the degree of reliability of this study shows there is a high internal consistency of the test.
