Abstract

Simón Rodríguez fue uno de los grandes pensadores de América Latina que vivió la colonización, un visionario cuyas ideas podrían haber cambiado el curso de la historia educativa como la conocemos. En el presente documento se abordarán distintas cuestiones de su vida, desde su propia biografía hasta su gran repertorio de ideas, tratando de realizar un estudio a fondo de su mentalidad para intentar sumergir al lector en la profundidad de los pensamientos de este escritor, ensayista y filósofo, entre otras profesiones. A su vez, se pretende destacar la importancia que podían haber tenido sus ideas revolucionarias en su época y también en la nuestra, analizando la situación educativa actual y trasladando el pensamiento de Simón Rodríguez hasta nuestros tiempos, con la finalidad de comparar ambos espacios temporales y observar si hoy en día, este pensamiento, resultaría beneficioso e innovador.
