In the world there is a big problem that is given by the amount of garbage that is produced daily. Since the 1970s, this has been a notable problem in first-world countries due to the generation of waste and the pollution it produces in the environment due to its dumping in places not intended for it. To alleviate the problem of waste, recycling methods have been developed to reduce the environmental impact generated in the world with the help of these. One of the biggest problems today is plastic because it is generated by fossil fuels and its degradation can take hundreds of years. This has become so widespread that today all kinds of packaging is made of this material and this is a big problem since it causes excess plastic waste everywhere, this has even generated the presence of not only plastic but also of microplastics in the sea and this affects the fauna and flora, being a great problem which must be tackled. That is why it is interesting to deal with the process through which the most used plastic passes to generate containers, this is the PET present in huge quantities in daily life, this is a simple process that reduces production and therefore reduces energy expenditure, materials raw materials that are needed for its creation and gives a second life to this potentially dangerous waste for the environment since PET is totally recyclable. When commenting on the recycling process, we have to take into account that this will be carried out in a factory with machinery that will need to be maintained. Maintenance is an action or cluster of actions that are carried out on a daily basis with a detailed plan that covers all the devices in the plant. For this, maintenance plans are developed to maintain the order of tasks and the periodicity to carry out the necessary work so that the devices are in optimal operating conditions during their useful life and to be able to obtain the greatest economic profitability from said equipment.
