| dc.description.abstract | La filosofía política debe analizar no solo los conceptos y los textos del canon sino también las metáforas y las representaciones artísticas. Este artículo examina cómo han variado históricamente las imágenes de la Justicia desde la antigua Mesopotamia hasta nuestros días. Centrándose en el tema de la vista o la ceguera de la Justicia, el artículo señala ocho tradiciones iconográficas que han expresado diversas formas de responder a la pregunta ¿debe la Justicia poseer una vista ilimitada que penetre incluso el corazón de los seres humanos o debe ser ciega para tratar a todas las personas con igualdad? | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | Political philosophy must analyze not only the concepts and texts of the canon but also metaphors and artistic representations. This article examines how the images of Justice historically have changed from ancient Mesopotamia to the present day. Focusing on the question of Justice’s blindness or being clear-sighted, the article points out eight iconographic traditions that have expressed various ways of answering the question: Should Justice possess an unlimited sight that penetrates even the heart of human beings or should she be blind to treat all people equally? | en_EN |
