AB Beliefs about the ability of change of the human being could play an important role onthe adaptation and resilience against adversity. In addition, it could contribute to makethe interventions to promote well-being of groups at risk more effective. The objectiveof the current study is to analyze the relationship between resilience and beliefs in thecapacity of human beings to change and face adversity. Participants were 104 collegestudents from different degrees. As an indicator of resilience, we used a measure ofposttraumatic growth. The results support the relation between posttraumatic growthand Spiritual Resignation beliefs. In addition, there is a significant association betweenthe resilience measure, the adversity level and the change in people's life priorities.Finally, the implications of this study are to be discussed.
