AB The previous knowledge and daily use of Information and CommunicationTechnologies that young people have before they access to their university teachingtraining, plays a fundamental role when it comes to putting the class dynamics intopractice, as well as having an impact on the processes of teaching and learning that it isestablished between the students and the teacher during the development of the didacticprocesses in the field of ICT. Throughout this Final Master's Degree will deepen inaspects related to resources or digital materials used both inside and outside the formalscope. For the research, a group of the first year of the Bachelor’s Degree in EarlyChildhood Education has been selected from the University of La Laguna. Thisquantitative study has taken into account the availability and knowledge of students intheir beginnings within the university degree. Likewise, the evidences have beencollected through a questionnaire which has been analysed and categorized to achievethe stated aims: to know the use that ICTs make in their daily lives the first-yearstudents and to find out what influence the technological resources have on their lives.As a result of the increase in ICT, educators have had and must adapt their teachingmethods, looking for new intervention strategies and teaching materials that helpstudents to maximise their possibilities: internet, digital screen, tablets, the use of thecomputer, etc. In conclusion, it can be seen that the use and knowledge of ICT in firstyear students is quite high when starting their university studies.
