In view of this situation, the present final master’s degree project tackle the culturaldiversity and the involvement of the families on Tomás de Iriarte School, which is located onPuerto de la Cruz. The object of this project is to find out if there are differences in theinvolvement’s levels between native families and foreign families. Furthermore, it will becheck how is the involvement level of both family types and the opinions and assessments offamilies about the integration of foreign students and intercultural education. By means of aquantitative methodology, it will be used two questionnaires allocate to teachers and families.By this way, it will be possible find out the opinion of these two educative agents, teachers andfamilies, about the families’ involvement levels; as well as do a reflection and understandwhich aspects have a major impact on favour to the intercultural education in this educativecentre.
