Firstly, in order to do this, we examine thetheoretical framework and the historical context of this particular topic. Secondly, we dealwith the design a syllabus proposal covering the whole academic year and a literacyproject that aims to renew the organization of the English department at the TeobaldoPower high school, specially focusing on 4th of ESO. These are elaborated with originalcontent and material, as well as adapted to the specific needs of the readingcomprehension skill. We concentrate on the strategies of text types and hierarchies,learner generated material, and prior knowledge.
