AB Violence within the family is a global problem. One of its branches less investigated and lessexposed by different media, is child-to-parental violence. This work includes the news relatedto the violence perpetrated by the children towards their parents presented during the years2014 and until 2018 in the Spanish newspapers ABC, La Vanguardia and El Día. A total of 92news published in these newspapers were united to be later analyzed with the free accesssoftware Iramuteq. After the analysis of frequencies, there are differences found in theapproach to this topic according to the newspaper and the year, except for words such as"violence", "problem" or "family". This problem is addressed from different approaches thatvary depending on the newspaper, but they are the descriptive, followed by the judicial, theinstitutional and finally the academic spheres. There is also a progression through the yearswhere the aspects related to the intervention prevail over those aspects that are limited to thedefinitions. It is concluded that the child-to-parent violence is described as a problem in the 3family characterized by the violence perpetrated from the child to the parent and theconvenience of carrying out more exhaustive analyzes is a must in order to understand theobtained nuances.
