Their impact on every areaand domain is undeniable, especially within the field of education regarding the teachingand learning of English as a Foreign Language (EFL). The benefits of using suchtechnologies in Secondary schools as an improvement for the traditional skills in thesubject of English, as well as their drawbacks and impediments, are thoroughly discussedin the following dissertation. The portrayal of how should be an ideal situation to workwith ICTs within an academic environment, particularly in English classes, is contrastedwith the real, not so idealistic circumstances. Furthermore, a practical case that took placeat a Secondary school with students of Bachillerato, is also explained in detail with thepurpose of observing students’ participation, motivation, and engagement with the subjectusing the available ICTs.
