AB This paper deals with three different types of treatment of the Greek literaryeroticism: 1. The eroticism presented in Plato’s Symposium; 2. That ofApolonius of Rhodes in his Argonautica, and 3. Charito of Afrodisia’sKhaereas and Kallirrhoe. The description provides an explanation of theirdifferences, locating them within the wide variety of ways in which the themeof eroticism is treated in the Greek literary production.
