AB In recent years the concept of intercultural communicative competence (ICC) has startedto spread in the field of foreign language teaching and learning. ICC is based on the development by the learner of several “savoirs” concerned with attitudes and values, knowledge,skills of interpreting and relating, skills of discovery and interaction and critical culturalawareness. In ICC, students become the centre of the teaching and learning process and therole of teachers should be focused on encouraging autonomous and independent learningskills in their students.
