AB The strategic importance of human capital in the tourism industry raises the need to developtraining policies permanently in order to promote their professionalization and specialization andensure their continued adaptation to the sector reality. From the Theory of Human Capital and theApproach of Resources and Capacities, training is conceived as a key factor in the generation ofsustainable competitive advantages.The present project deals with the study of the continuous training of subsidized typologyaccomplished by companies in the Hotel and Catering sector in the Canary Islands, with the aimof contributing to the elaboration of a catalog of formation in the field of tourism. To this end,information has been obtained from different sources and an exhaustive analysis of thesubsidized training actions in the Hotel and Catering Sector has been carried out, classifyingthem according to their level of demand and relation with the sector.
