AB The predominant tourism in the Canary Islands is, by excellence, the Tourism of "Sol yPlaya", but, gradually, has been introduced in the market another type of tourism, rural tourism.Our islands offer a unique rural environment, with paradisiacal landscapes, as well as itsclimate and numerous endemic species, which is a worldwide demand for the attraction of thesetravelers.Due to the rise of tourists who choose destinations related to activities in rural and naturalareas, the idea is to pay attention to this new demand and developing a type of accommodationservice that caters to the needs of customers increasingly sensitive to the environment.So, the objective of this work is to carry out an analysis on the viability of a rural hotel inTenerife, exactly in the town of La Orotava, as a business alternative, given the increasing demandfor this type of tourism.
