The mainobjective in this study has been to carry out an early assessment andintervention with at risk students for learning disabilities in mathematics (LDM),and to give greater visibility to this type of problem existing in the educationalfield. To do this, taking into account the criteria for assessing the second andthird levels of Primary Education in the area of mathematics, curriculum-basedmeasurement (CBM) and direct instruction have been applied to second-gradeand a third-grade students of Primary Education, who come to the SpecificEducational Needs (SEP) classroom because of the difficulties they present inthis area. A more specific diagnosis of the deficiencies these students presentrequire psychopedagogical assessment by counseling team.
