AB The objective of this study is to develop a program of cognitive stimulation froma test that measures cognitive impairment to prevent premature aging of people withintellectual disability. 21 users from the San Antonio de Padua (PROMINSUR)occupational center participated. They were evaluated with the Addenbrooke´scognitive examination revised (ACE-R) before and after the application of the program.They were divided into four groups according to their score obtained in the factor “g” ofintelligence to perform the five sessions that lasted the program of cognitive stimulation.Significant differences were found between the before and after the program, thusconfirming the hypothesis of the study. This work can be considered the beginning of afield of study in which we must continue working to consolidate these results.
