AB The aim of the following work is to establish the concept, evaluation and treatmentfor the diagnosis of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. In this way, after thetheoretical review of various sources, the instruments and procedures considerednecessary to carry out an appropriate intervention are established. In addition,the characteristics that an effective intervention must have together with some ofthe most recognized programs in the intervention of ADHD are exposed. It delvesinto the study of both the diagnosis and the intervention, in order to establish aclear proposal to eradicate two types of problems associated with this disorder,overdiagnosis and overmedication. As a result of the work, a first-line interventionwith a cognitive-behavioral program is established as a recommendation, whichmust be accompanied by all the techniques that have been shown to be effectiveand executed in a multicontextual manner, adjusting the intervention to thecharacteristics of each patient.
