AB In this End of Degree Work Report, the situation of single-use materials is studied, themain cause of marine litter in Europe, focusing on Spanish territory. The objective of this paper isto analyze the measures that Spain has implemented to deal with this problem, as well as its impacton the plastics industry generated in Spain. For this purpose, data extracted from the NationalInstitute of Statistics and the Spanish Ministry for Ecological Transition have been used as the mainsources of information. The main conclusion of this work is that, despite the problems generatedby this type of material, it needs solutions that do not have a negative effect on the Spanisheconomy, limiting its use.
