AB Vacation rental in the tourism sector has expanded significantly in recent years, opening a newway to the traditional system of accommodation. This irruption has been accompanied by a legalproblem, as well as an economic one and a social one. Some of these conflicts are the unfaircompetition with the hotels, the rising cost of housing and the neighbourhood coexistence. In thisFinal Degree Project, I will analyse the case of vacation rentals in the Canary Islands, observingthe impact it has had on tourism, how it affects the price of housing and how much it bothersneighbours.
