AB The teaching profession requires training that includes academic knowledge, skills to handledifferent resources and pedagogical methods; to motivate and help students in the learningprocess, and to plan activities and evaluate. But additionally, the teacher must keep updatedon the innovations that science and technology make available to teaching. In recent yearsthere has been a special interest in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), fromdifferent disciplines. For this reason, in this end-of-degree project, a theoretical review iscarried out on the ADHD (ADHD), the different treatments and their consequences for thechild, the controversies about medicalization and the economic benefits of the pharmaceuticalindustry; all with the purpose of contributing to specify the role of the primary school teacherin the care of children with ADHD.
