In this sense, the studyof the characteristics of the nanoparticles and the factors that influence theirelaboration is fundamental because it will condition the size, shape, surface load, routeof administration, biodistribution, stability, efficacy of encapsulation and the type ofdrug being capsuled. The objective of the present study was the preparation of polymeric nanoparticles bydouble emulsion evaporation and modified nanoprecipitation to evaluate the influenceof the polymer concentration on its characteristics (size, potential Z and index ofpolydispersion). To that end, two types of poly (D, L-lactic-co-glycolic acid) (RESOMER®RG 502 and RG 503) were used, at three different concentrations (5, 20 and 40 mg/ml).The results showed that the nanoparticles produced by both methods presentmonodisperse size distribution. Likewise, an increase in size was observed with theconcentration of polymer and values of potential Z negative and practically neutral, independently of the molecular weight of the polymer used. In terms of stability, nosignificant changes were detected in any of the parameters within the time intervalstudied.
