AB Wine is a valuable natural food obtained through the fermentation of the grapethat is part of the daily life of the Canarian population. In order to protect thevines chemical phytosanitary products are used. These pesticides could causeimportant health risks despite being strictly regulated by the European Union(EU). In this study, six wine samples from Tenerife were analyzed, one for eachDesignation of Origin (DO) and one ecological, using the QuEChERS methodand GC-MS/MS to verify the presence of those compounds in the final productsand if it would be so that they won’t surpass the declared limits. The obtainedresults demonstrated that, despite the fact that all the samples contained somepesticides, the maximum residue limits were not exceeded in any case.
