AB The aim of the study is to analyze the differences and similarities of the individual's perceptionsand characteristics when it comes to entrepreneurship. In order to elaborate this study, we have used the data gathered by the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) in the year 2015 from Spain, Portugal, United Kingdom, Italy and Greece. This data has been processed in the R environment through a probit model to observe the influence in the entrepreneurship of a set of variables considered valuable. Although results show differences between the countries analyzed, we canconclude that skills and opportunities perceptions, role modeling or fear of failure are the variablesthat show a higher likelihood of being engaged in the entrepreneurial activity. However, there weresome variables which did not explain the entrepreneurial behavior, like the influence of mass media, status perception or the feeling that is a desirable career choice
