AB Vitamin D and Calcium are two essential nutrients with a determining role in bone healthand in the assessment of overall health status. There is a link between both that allows us topredict the appearance of some diseases which they are directly related. Some factors such asage, gender, kinds of skins and sun exposure can influence the deficit or excess of thesenutrients.This work purpose is to determine the amount of Vitamin D and Calcium present in thepatient’s serums. An attempt has been made to establish a possible relationship between theseamounts and the factors that we mentioned previously.A spectrophotometric technique was used to figure out Calcium, while an enzyme-linkedimmunosorbent method combined with fluorescence spectroscopy was used to obtain theamount of Vitamin D.The treatment of the results was carried out by means of different software, drawingconclusions in the relationship between both nutrients and taking into account the subject´scharacteristics.
