RT info:eu-repo/semantics/bookPart T1 Venice Vega Park: history, “more media” and new narrative paradigms A1 Camellina, Lorella K1 Vegapark K1 Archives K1 Dataset AB Since its foundation, Vega, the Venice Scientific and TechnologicalPark, aimed to be a research andinnovation hub and an instrument forthe reclamation and urban regenerationof the city’s former industrial district. It forms a cluster of approximately60 companies today but still, it is notviewed as the innovation landmark it wassupposed to be, ostensibly because ofits past reputation. The project exploresthe role that, in this context, InformationDesign and Data Visualization mayserve in conceiving a new narrativeparadigm to tell the evolution of Vega inthe form of an interactive application. The interface is composed of three mainsections that connect past and present ofthe Park: a database of archive photos,a treemap based on the persistingrhetorics and a data visualization of itscontemporary assets. The interactiveapplication represents a tool to visuallydiscover the Park and to understandits complexity through “datization”. PB Vicerrectorado de Docencia. Universidad de La Laguna.
