A recentdissemination project for our University’s Historical Scientific Museum hasallowed us to confront with this emerging scenario. This paper presents the strategies we adopted for empowering the visitor’sexperience to a small exhibition space intended as an introductory step to thescientific collections of the University of Sassari. The project may be consideredas an attempt to communicate complexity, exploring different ways fordisseminating contents, tailoring goals, targeting audiences, to a very specificcontext and set of resources, in the direction of developing an integratedframework of tangible and digital elements from a locally based cosmopolitanperspective.
