One of these challenges is related to the highdependence that exists between the meteorological conditions of theenvironment and the power generation capacity in power plants. The companiessupplying energy must communicate sufficiently in advance, between one andtwo days before, the energy that their plants will produce at any given time, andin the case of solar energy, the clouds play a fundamental role in the variability ofthe irradiance received by the solar panels, and therefore, in their production.In this paper, the capacity of the simulations performed with the atmosphericmodel WRF (Weather Research and Forecasting) will be analyzed, examiningdifferent predictions for a set of cases of study.For this purpose, firstly, the model must be correctly configured for the region tobe studied and, subsequently, the influence of the different physicalparameterizations on the irradiance calculation must be analysed and comparedwith experimental data.
